When people have large enough "collections" that require the permission of some far off computer for every access, you can bet the forced commercial crap will follow. At this point, they not want to piss people off. They can change the terms on which you can access the content with simple software updates. The movie industry would love for all "purchases" to be in "digital lockers". What makes people think that they will not start seeing forced ads on their streaming or UltraViolet "purchases"? ![]() I will absolutely not purchase a disc, only to have some blow hard horn dog force commercial crap down my throat. I watch movies either via streaming or local digital copy. I have not purchased a blueray since Avatar came out. I don't pirate either and I was looking forward to buying a bluray drive to get my blurays ripped and backed up to my server. I have like 2 or 3 different sites for my "digital copies" depending on who the publisher is. ![]() I don't really do ultravilot, so I rarely login. I love getting the email from Sony every year that my account will be deleted due to inactivity, but any Ultraviolet movies you have elsewhere will remain. I don't pirate, but it's getting to be about time to (metaphorically) hoist the flag and slit some throats. I don't want to have to download entire new players and create multiple accounts because they can't coordinate on a service, or any of that other shit. ![]() ![]() I've been using MakeMKV for a while, but I suppose it's only a matter of time until it's targetted as well.įuck these guys, I just want to watch a damn movie without jumping through hoops and watching a bunch of pointless animations/clips, and to back my stuff up since the hypocritical jerkasses won't replace my media.
